Ráztoka lies in a valley basin of the Low Tatras and is surrounded by the Farkašovo, Hradisko and Pod šípom mountains. Culture and History

Hradisko in Ráztoka is a national cultural monument. The settlement site, located on a hill, has the form of a hillfort. Hradisko contains settlement traces from the Bronze Age, the Late Iron Age and the Middle Ages.

The local sacred landscape includes the chapel “kaplnka Sedembolestnej Panny Márie”. It was built in 1942 and stands on the site of a former chapel dating from the 14th century. The church “Kostol Navštívenia Panny Márie” is a single-nave building with a semicircular presbytery termination and a wooden roof turret; it was built in 1840.

Historically, Ráztoka also had a tradition of lace-making. Part of the population was engaged in making lace.

In the vicinity of Ráztoka, Ráztocká hoľa offers views from its summit and summit ridge of the main ridge of the Low Tatras, as well as southwards towards the Horehronská kotlina.
