Dudince combines water, nature and culture in very different forms. The mineral waters of Dudince were first officially mentioned in writing in 1777; at the time, they were described as warm healing springs called Gyogy.

Water and Baths

Water is present in Dudince both through a historical connection with the town and in specific facilities. At the Rubín spa house, there is a 34 °C warm sitting pool with mineral water. The Dudinka summer pool complex is a summer family facility with four pools and water attractions. It has a water slide, a family slide, a water channel with jets and a children's zone. The Dudinka summer pool complex also includes a 33 to 34 °C warm sitting pool with Dudince healing water. The mineral pool at the Rubín spa house is also open to the public on Sundays. The two sitting pools therefore differ in temperature and public access.

Nature

The Lišovská trasa leads from Dudince along the forest and is part of the landscape of the Zlatá cesta in historic Hont, which includes natural and cultural heritage sites. The Travertínová terasa is a natural site in its own right. It covers 1,433 m² on the banks of the Štiavnica and has several places with active travertine formation under relatively natural conditions.

Culture

The Rímske kúpele, also known as Močidlá, are an extensive spring mound with a flat surface into which 32 square and rectangular pits have been carved. Another attraction is the one known as the “leaning tower.” Because of its unusual inclination, it remains a tourist attraction to this day and leans 51 centimetres out of plumb.

The 14th edition of “Dudinské otvorené pivnice” was scheduled to take place at Merovské vinice on 9 August 2025.

Practical Information

The Dudince Tourist Information Centre rents out electric bicycles, bicycles and kick scooters. For a transfer, Kúpele Dudince can take guests from the train station or a bus stop directly to the spa house if guests register for the transfer at the reception of the respective spa house at least one day in advance.

Anyone who opens or compares the current offers for Dudince can check several points directly on the respective offer page before booking. These include the exact location, the type of accommodation and the intended occupancy. Included services, individual price components, and the booking and cancellation conditions are equally important. Check whether a total price or additional components are listed separately and for which period the conditions apply. Any differing rules for the selected option should also be clearly identifiable. When comparing several variants, it is advisable to match the same length of stay and occupancy so that the stated totals remain comparable. Also check whether taxes, fees or other price components are already included in the total price. If an option specifies special deadlines or exclusions, these should be clearly readable before making a decision. The validity of the conditions for the selected period should also be clearly stated.
