Wellness

Rapovce has a clearly identified current connection to the locality. At present, there is a thermal bath with an access road at the site of the borehole in Rapovce. The Rapovce Thermal Bath offers outdoor pools as well as an outdoor sitting pool for relaxation and recovery.

Geology

The borehole in Rapovce reaches a final depth of 1,501.2 m. At a depth of 775 m, it encountered Mesozoic limestone from the Middle to Upper Triassic. The final depth and the depth at which the find was made do not refer to the same point: the limestone was identified at 775 m, while the borehole subsequently continued to 1,501.2 m. Within the Novohrad-Nógrád Geopark, Rapovce is so far the only place where Mesozoic rocks have been identified.

Nature

The connection with nature leads from the subsurface to a flowing body of water. The Horný tok Ipľa protected area also includes the cadastral territory of Rapovce; it is a linear protected area along a flowing body of water with adjacent riparian vegetation. Large parts of Horný tok Ipľa are located in the Poiplie Natura 2000 site. It also adjoins the Stredný tok Ipľa protected area. This spatial description therefore connects the locality with the flowing body of water and with other clearly identified protected-area contexts.

Culture

The Kostol sv. Martina church in Rapovce was built in 1764; it was rebuilt in 1854 and 1895. Its history also includes a severe turning point: during the Second World War, the church was heavily damaged, and only the perimeter walls and the main façade survived. The originally Neoclassical Kúria Rapovce adds a second historic building. It dates from 1768; the alterations made in 1889 and 1909 form part of its building history. Today, the Kúria is in very good condition and serves as a Roman Catholic parish house.

Cycling

An independent connection to the locality is provided by the Cyklistický náučný chodník Lučenec – Ipolytarnóc cycling educational trail (Hungary): Rapovce is one of its stations. The full name includes Lučenec and Ipolytarnóc in Hungary.

Also pay attention to the included services, individual price components, and the booking and cancellation conditions. Check which costs are already included in the price and which conditions apply in the event of a change or cancellation. This makes it possible to compare hotels and other accommodations based on the same points, without assuming features that are not mentioned on the respective offer page. In addition, you can check on the respective offer page exactly where the accommodation is located, which type of accommodation is offered, and how many people the selected option is intended for. The listed services, possible additional costs, and the breakdown of the total price are also relevant. When there are several options, it is helpful to check whether the same information applies to the same travel period and the same occupancy. Before completing the booking, also check the deadlines, fees, and requirements for a change or cancellation. These points make differences between offers visible without assuming features that are not mentioned.
