Veľká Lúka: Landscape, Culture and Cycling Route

Veľká Lúka is the starting point of the Veľká Lúka–Kúpele Sliač cycling route. It begins in the village centre by the football field. The village thus combines a clearly designated cycling connection with a landscape of basins, hilly terrain, mixed forests and a stream. The bus stop is located in the centre of Veľká Lúka at a crossroads. The railway station is a 13-minute walk from the village centre. It lies to the east, on Ulica MDD in the direction of the Hron. Culture

In the central part of Veľká Lúka stands the brick-and-wood bell tower at the intersection of third-class roads. It is a national cultural monument and was built in 1863. A memorial plaque in the local cemetery commemorates eight citizens of Veľká Lúka who fell during the fighting.
