The Fašiangy tradition in Kráľová Lehota includes a singing masked procession through the village on the last Saturday of Carnival. The Fašiangy evening dance includes the symbolic burial of the double bass as a sign of the beginning of Lent.

A historical link to the region’s labor and transport history is the former Považská forest railway. It was one of the longest forest railways in Slovakia. Its construction began in 1913 and was completed in 1940; from 1932, it also transported passengers between Liptovský Hrádok and Teplička. The cycling route through the upper Liptov region leads from Liptovský Hrádok via Kráľová Lehota and Čierny Váh to Štrba and Važec, and then back to Liptovský Hrádok. It is suitable for road bikes and, on its shared section to Štrba, runs through forests in the valley of the Čierny Váh River.

The Cestou Liptovského sna route leads from Liptovský Hrádok via Kráľová Lehota, Svarín and Čierny Váh to Benkovo. The open-air Museum of the Liptov Village in Pribylina is planned as the penultimate stop before the route returns to Liptovský Hrádok. Visit Liptov’s Route 11 runs through Kráľová Lehota and connects Podtureň, Borová Sihoť, Liptovská Porúbka, Svarín, Čierny Váh, Maša, Hrádocký hrad and Liptovský Hrádok.
