Nature

Part of the Prosečné European protected area (SKUEV0192), a Natura 2000 site, lies in the northern part of the cadastral area of Liptovská Anna. The Chočské vrchy Special Protection Area serves to protect the habitats of bird species of European importance. The species listed include the peregrine falcon, golden eagle, eagle owl, capercaillie and three-toed woodpecker. Čerenová skala is a prominent rock formation above the municipality of Liptovská Anna.

Culture

The origins of St. Anna Church in Liptovská Anna date back to the 13th century. Its floor plan is unusual because the church is wider than it is long. After the devastating fire, the church grounds were carefully restored over a period of ten years. A wooden bell tower has been preserved immediately next to St. Anna Church.

Traditional residential architecture includes a distinctive room layout: In Liptovská Anna, the chamber in traditional houses was divided lengthwise. This created two small rooms: a chamber and a rear room with a window facing the courtyard. The folk dwelling at Liptovská Anna 33 is a single-storey log house from the 20th century with a three-part room layout and a rectangular floor plan.
