Trenčianské Teplice is synonymous with thermal facilities and a spa history that can be seen in its parks, buildings and events. This profile is complemented by a historic narrow-gauge railway and a marked cycle path to Trenčianska Teplá. In this spa town, water, architecture, culture and various ways of getting around thus come together.

Wellness

At the Trenčianske Teplice spa, six natural healing springs are currently used for external and internal balneotherapy. The healing water for baths in pools and tubs has a temperature of 35.5 to 39°C. The Trenčianske Teplice spa includes the Sina thermal pool, the MUDr. Čapka – PI pool, the PII and PIII pools, and the PK pool at Krym. The heated GRAND outdoor pool is also available to all spa guests, visitors to Trenčianske Teplice and city residents.

The spa park of Trenčianske Teplice is also part of the townscape. It is an 18-hectare English park established in 1873. Alongside the pools and healing springs, this means that an extensive historic park forms a distinct part of the spa town.

Culture

The hammam is a special combination of architectural history and visitor attractions. It was built next to the Sina Mirror Bath in 1888 in an Oriental-Moorish style. The local tourist information office regularly organises tours of the historic hammam. The office is located next to the main entrance of the Hotel Slovakia.

The Kursalon is also part of the cultural history of Trenčianske Teplice. It was built in 1892 as a venue for social and cultural events. Since then, concerts and balls of a high standard have been held there in Trenčianske Teplice.

At the 23rd Festival ľudových remesiel, traditional crafts, original handmade products, a craft market and an extensive cultural programme were offered. Visitors could learn about traditional work processes and techniques, as well as view and purchase handmade products. The festival thus combines demonstrations, market activity and a cultural programme within a specific event framework.

Getting Around

The Trenčianska elektrická železnica is a 116-year-old narrow-gauge railway connecting the railway junction of Trenčianska Teplá with the spa town of Trenčianske Teplice. It offers irregular tourist passenger services. A marked cycle path also leads from Trenčianske Teplice to Trenčianska Teplá.

Anyone considering Trenčianske Teplice as a destination can compare the areas described separately: thermal facilities, the park, architectural history, events and connections to the surrounding area each represent a distinct aspect of the town. When choosing a hotel or other accommodation, personal criteria such as budget, length of stay and preferred daily schedule can therefore be decisive, without the individual topics having to be linked in a fixed order. This keeps Trenčianske Teplice as the common reference point for different travel plans. Visitors can next view and compare the available options, while adapting their decision to their own circumstances. Different lengths of stay and spending limits can be taken into account without presupposing a particular type of accommodation.
