At Ciglarsko naselje on the banks of the Mura, the traditional manual production of bricks is demonstrated. In this traditional brickmaking process, clay obtained from the fields is shaped into bricks using molds. Ciglarsko naselje also includes an open-air exhibition. Chapel and Music
The Marija Snežna Chapel was built in 1912 and blessed in Melinci on November 7, 1914. During the traditional village festival, the proščenje of Melinci, generations of villagers gathered at the Marija Snežna Chapel for religious feast days.
The group “Melinčki ciglari” is committed to preserving the native Prekmurje folk song heritage. “Melinčke ciglarke” is a women’s vocal group that also preserves the native Prekmurje folk song heritage. KUD Melinci includes a mixed choir, a men’s choir, the folk singers “Melinčki ciglari” and the female folk singers “Ciglarke”. KUD Melinci participates in preparing events in the village and usually organizes an annual concert.
Nature, Beekeeping and Activities
Apiturizem Šemen Štefan offers nine types of honey, including buckwheat honey, as well as propolis, flower pollen and royal jelly. The offer also includes a guided tour of the apiary. Active transport of bees on a wagon is also offered, as was formerly used to move bees to pasture.
