Moravske Toplice: Hotels, Thermal Spas, Nature and Culture

Moravske Toplice combines thermal spas with trails, golf and cultural attractions. The outdoor pool area of Terme Vivat includes an Olympic-sized swimming pool, a pool with black thermal water and a children's pool.

Wellness

The wellness center at Terme Vivat covers 800 m² and offers massages as well as beauty rituals based on local elements from Prekmurje. The musical fountain at Terme Vivat allows guests to choose music and step into the fountain between drops of thermal water.

At the Terme 3000 thermal park, the black baths have indoor and outdoor areas and are open year-round. The Terme 3000 spa is characterized by its dark thermal mineral water. The spa includes a water adventure park and also offers wellness treatments.

Things to do

The Livada golf course is located next to the Moravske Toplice thermal spa and is suitable for both beginners and experienced golfers. It has the longest hole in Slovenia, covers more than 50 hectares and offers 18 playing fields.

Moravske Toplice has almost 100 kilometers of hiking and recreational trails; the individual trails are between 1.8 and 20 kilometers long. The Moravske Toplice Tourist Information Center rents trekking bikes, children's bicycles, electric bicycles and e-scooters. A tourist train offers a 30-minute panoramic ride in Moravske Toplice and the surrounding area.

Nature

The municipal territory of the Municipality of Moravske Toplice belongs to Goričko Nature Park, a protected area within Natura 2000. In the surrounding area of Moravske Toplice, the marsh trail in Lončarovci crosses 50 meters of a marshy meadow to a platform by the Curek stream.

Also in the surrounding area of Moravske Toplice, the butterfly trail passes through wetlands inhabited by rare and endangered butterfly species; guided tours are available only by prior arrangement.

Culture

The Evangelical Church of the Good Shepherd Jesus stands in the center of Moravske Toplice. The park of the Reformed region of Prekmurje is located in front of the church.

In the surrounding area of Moravske Toplice, the Filovci open-air museum combines traditional pottery, the architecture of original Pannonian houses and the cultural heritage of Filovci pottery. The Bojnec pottery workshop operates in the Filovci open-air museum and continues the local pottery tradition.

In the surrounding area of Moravske Toplice, the church in Bogojina was designed by the architect Jože Plečnik and built between 1924 and 1927. The Romanesque rotunda in Selo preserves two layers of wall paintings. Guided tours of the rotunda are conducted by the Selo branch of the Moravske Toplice Tourist Information Center.

The Moravske Toplice Tourist Information Center is located in the town center and is available year-round. In Moravske Toplice, the Moravske Toplice Tourist Information Center organizes the traditional summer tourist market.
