Srednja Vas V Bohinju: Juliana Trail, Culture and Hotels

Above Srednja vas, the Ribnica River has carved out a gorge with numerous waterfalls. From Srednja vas, marked mountain hiking trails also lead to the Uskovnica Alpine Hut in approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes. The time given is intended as an approximate guide. One of the most prominent buildings is the Baroque parish church of St. Martin in Srednja vas. It stands on medieval foundations and was already mentioned in sources dating from the end of the 15th century. Its furnishings include a choir and an organ made by Johann Gottfried Kunst in 1830. The choir and organ were extensively restored in 2002. Every summer, the church also serves as a venue for the Glasbeno poletje v Bohinju music festival.

Local customs also preserve musical and dance-related folk heritage. The folklore group of KUD Triglav Srednja Vas maintains this heritage through singing, dancing and instrumental melodies. The Nabijači section of KUD Triglav Srednja Vas preserves it by striking or ringing miniature bells. Folklore groups, singers, musicians and dancers perform at the traditional Vaški večeri Pod lipo evenings in Srednja vas. These evenings take place every Monday in July and August at 8:30 p.m.; homemade food and drinks are also available.

The Senožeta ski resort is part of the village's seasonal offering. It is a small ski resort in Srednja vas and is particularly suitable for families and recreational skiing. Thus, alongside the Juliana Trail, which can be hiked in stages throughout the year, the village also offers an explicitly winter-oriented activity.
