Neumětely: Hotels and accommodations

Neumětely can be explored through specific buildings, memorial sites, and trails. The listed parish church of St. Peter and Paul was built in the 14th century, has a Gothic core, and was remodeled in the Baroque style in the mid-18th century. The church houses an organ dating from 1887.

Culture

The listed bell tower, built entirely of wood, was constructed after 1763. It has a shingle roof, a footprint measuring nearly 6 by 5 meters, and a total height of just under 7 meters. It contains the only surviving bell, which bears an inscription from 1637; today, it is rung only in the event of deaths and funerals.

The listed Šemík monument stands in a small park behind the cemetery by the road and was erected in 1887. It is a cenotaph in the form of an ancient temple in the historicist, neoclassical style. In Neumětely, there is a belief that Šemík, the loyal horse of the knight Horymír, is buried there.

The circular castle site was formerly surrounded on all sides by water and embankments and had a diameter of approximately 45 meters.

Tourist stamps and visitor cards are available at the municipal office and at the U Horymíra restaurant.

A red-marked hiking trail leads from Neumětely toward Želkovice and Málkov.
