Plužná: Hotels and accommodations

Plužná combines a clearly recognizable historic village structure with marked hiking trails, cycling routes, natural areas, and a diverse events calendar. The village is located approximately 10 km northwest of Mladá Boleslav. From Mladá Boleslav, Plužná can be reached via Čistá, as well as from Bělá pod Bezdězem and Katusice.

Location and history

Plužná was first mentioned in historical records in 1337. In the 19th and early 20th centuries, the village was a prosperous agricultural community with prominent family farms.

Village structure and landscape

In the historic part of Plužná, the agricultural farmsteads are arranged perpendicular to a long, central village axis. The historic village landscape also preserves traces of the original strip fields, known as Plužiny.

Trails and cycling routes

South of Plužná, a blue-marked hiking trail connects with a red-marked hiking trail. North of the village, a marked hiking trail first connects with a yellow-marked trail and later with a green-marked trail.

Several cycling connections also pass through the village. Cycling route 0060, the Bělský okruh, passes through Plužná at kilometer 12.5. The C10 cycling tour from Bělá pod Bezdězem to Mnichovo Hradiště also passes through Plužná and then continues along cycling route 0060 toward Valdštejnsko. A recurring cycling event is Pluženská Kolová; its 26th edition took place in 2026.

Nature and physical activity

Plužná is located near deep forests. In the village, the reconstructed biotope at the water reservoir provides a place for relaxation, experiencing nature, and communal gatherings.

Under the auspices of the municipality, regular yoga and Pilates sessions were announced for Sundays and Wednesdays at 6:00 p.m. in the municipal office hall.

Events

Pluženská Noc is a traditional summer open-air event in Plužná. Poslední leč is one of the two major annual events organized by Myslivecký spolek Plužná.

Another traditional event, Pálení čarodějnic, was scheduled for Thursday, April 30, 2026, at the local sports field. Competitions for children, a lantern procession, and the communal lighting of a witch effigy were planned for this date.
