Uhlírské Janovice: Hotels and Accommodations

In the middle of the town square stands Kostel sv. Aloise. The church is a late Baroque building completed in 1795; its interior is Baroque and Rococo.

Kostel sv. Jiljí is a medium-sized Gothic church with a polygonal presbytery and a northern sacristy. Part of the masonry of the nave of an older Romanesque church has been preserved inside; the presbytery contains remarkable Gothic wall paintings.

The former synagogue of Uhlířské Janovice was built in the Baroque style in 1798 and today serves as a prayer house of the Czechoslovak Hussite Church. The Noci kostelů 2026 programme offered a free guided tour of the former synagogue at Husův sbor; historical photographs were also shown.

At the former Jewish cemetery of Uhlířské Janovice, part of the perimeter wall and two gravestones have been preserved. One of the surviving gravestones was converted into a monument to the destroyed cemetery.
