Vrátno can be explored through its local history, cultural heritage, and the landscape of its surrounding region.

Culture and history

The Vrátno windmill is a Dutch-type windmill and stands 800 meters northeast of Vrátno. It is a protected cultural heritage site; the protection covers the windmill building and the defined plot of land.

During construction work, the Vrátno Treasure was discovered in 1964 in the cadastral area of the municipality of Vrátno: medieval coins and a silver signet ring were found in an earthenware vessel. The entire Vrátno Treasure is kept at the Mladoboleslavsko Museum and comprises 474 coins as well as several unidentifiable fragments.

The Vrátno No. 28 farmstead is registered as an immovable cultural monument. The windmill is privately owned and is currently not open to the public.
