Divec is situated in a natural wedge formed by the SpálenĂk, DehetnĂk and OulištÄ› forest districts.
Nature and Landscape
As a significant landscape feature, the DehetnĂk forest complex includes the 285-metre-high SpálenĂk hill. Most of the DehetnĂk forest complex and the adjacent fields are covered by the protection zone of the supra-regional K 73 Orlice biocorridor.
In the vicinity of Divec, near Studánka DehetnĂk, there is a drinking-water spring, a wayside shrine, a water reservoir and a covered seating area. Studánka DehetnĂk is a destination for cyclists, hikers and families. Bus connections to Studánka DehetnĂk run via Divec, Slatina u HK and Blešno.
History and Culture
In 1417, Divec was divided between Hynek z Červené Lhoty and Opatovice Monastery. Below Spálený kopec, the discovery of a settlement pit contributed to the identification of a prehistoric settlement.
Festivals and Events
In Divec, the traditional maypole raising takes place on the day after the burning of the witches. Children's Day traditionally takes place at the Divec sports complex; it was scheduled for Sunday, 4 June, from 3 p.m. On Christmas Eve, the Štědrovečernà zvoněnà bell-ringing event takes place again at the bell tower in Divec at 2 p.m.
