Dílce is linked to a specific chapter in history: on 29 June 1866, heavy fighting took place here during the Battle of Jičín.

History

In the cadastral area of Dílce, there is a monument to the Saxon Captain Sube and other Saxon soldiers who fell in the Battle of Jičín. The monument in the Klokanovo field near Dílce includes a mass grave of Austrian soldiers who fell in the Battle of Jičín on 29 June 1866. This monument was restored in August and September 2024.

Trails

The 30-kilometre educational trail dedicated to the Battle of Jičín begins at the Coronation Fountain on Wallenstein Square. At the individual stops, there are information boards with information in English. The Naučná stezka Bitva u Jičína educational trail runs through Dílce.

Landscape and leisure

The Přivýšina and Tábor mountains are located in the vicinity of Dílce. Střelečská hůra mountain is also located near Dílce; the Maxinec mountain, also known as MLázovický chlum, is located there as well.

The Dílecký stream flows through Dílce. Valcha Pond lies northeast of Dílce. A green-marked tourist route runs through the village. Dílce has a sports field available for leisure activities.
