Nevratice: Hotels and Accommodation
Nevratice is a place whose history and appearance can be seen in several specific landmarks. It is also situated on the Javorka River, with paths for pedestrians and cyclists, as well as events from local community life.
History and Appearance
The oldest written mention of Nevratice dates from 1398; at that time, the manor of Mikuláš of Úlibice is documented. The former school in Nevratice, featuring a bust of Jan Ámos Komenský, was completed in 1911; the concept for the building was developed in 1908.
The village square in Nevratice is dominated by a Baroque statue of Saint John of God on a pedestal with a relief of Saint Florian dating from 1782. Also standing on the village square is a crucifix monument with the corpus of Christ on a pedestal with a relief of the Virgin Mary dating from 1774. The village also retains examples of vernacular architecture in the form of log houses.
The sandstone monument “Křížek” was relocated to the built-up area of Nevratice as part of a restoration project funded in 2008; benches and a litter bin were installed at the memorial site.
Landscape
Nevratice lies on the banks of the Javorka River. Mount Maxinec (MLázovický chlum) is located in the vicinity of Nevratice. The nearby surroundings include Březinka Hill [Chomutice-Obora] and Na Zádušníku Hill [Nevratice]. Mount Kamenec lies in the wider regional area around Nevratice.
Paths and Community Life
The path between Nevratice and Chomutice is intended for pedestrians and cyclists and runs along Road II/327. A playground for the youngest children is located next to the Nevratice Municipal Office.
“Nevratická Bludička” is a night-time firefighting sports competition for children and young people; in 2025, its eighth edition was organized by the local volunteer fire brigade association. The ninth edition of the night-time firefighting sports competition for children was announced for 13 June 2026 at the municipal sports ground in Nevratice; the event was scheduled to begin at 17:00, with the first start at 18:00.
