Pecka: Hotels and accommodation
Pecka Castle was founded at the end of the 13th century at the rocky end of an elongated ridge and has been partially preserved as a ruin.
Culture and history
Pecka’s square is home to a plague column erected in 1720, topped by a statue of the Virgin Mary. The village is also home to the Baroque Church of St. Bartholomew, built from 1751 to 1753, with interior frescoes by Václav Kramolín dating from 1756.
The historical tour Trasa A at Pecka Castle leads through Kryštof Harant’s study as well as rooms covering the history of the castle and the town of Pecka. The Harantovské sklepy tour includes wine and beer cellars, storerooms, the Veselka banqueting hall, a bath and a medieval torture chamber.
The Lázně Church is also located in the vicinity of Pecka. The Spalona Strażnica ruin lies in the wider surrounding region.
Nature and trails
Hravá Homolka is a forest trail that leads from the reception of the Pecka campsite along a stream towards the forest. The trail has ten stations with sports, playful and educational tasks.
Koupaliště & kempu Pecka has a natural swimming pool with purified water. Well-marked hiking trails lead through the varied landscape around Pecka, with preserved nature, local sights and far-reaching views of the Krkonoše Mountains, Kozákov, Zvičina and the Hořické chlumy.
A 50-kilometre road cycling route is also part of the trail network: “Do města kamenné krásy a na Zvičinu” starts at the Pecka campsite and returns there.
Landscape setting
Maxinec (MLázovický chlum) is a mountain in the vicinity of Pecka. Čihadlo [Pecka-Bukovina] is a hill in the immediate vicinity. Tábor and Strážník are mountains in the wider surrounding region of Pecka.

The Pecka Tourist Information Centre is located in the local library in the municipal office building. Free leaflets about the village, the castle and the outdoor swimming pool, as well as maps with tourist destinations, are available there.
