Culture and history

The Church of the Guardian Angels stands on the road from Vidochov to Stupná, on the left-hand side, and is a prominent building in the lower part of the municipality. On its northeastern side is a three-storey ashlar tower with a pyramidal roof and triangular ventilation openings in the middle section; at the top are a finial ball and a Latin cross.

The Church of St. Mary Magdalene was built in 1717–1719 by the Carthusians from Valdice; the builder was Václav Heldt. The complex comprises the church, a mortuary built into the surrounding wall opposite the entrance gate, and a central cross in the cemetery.

Shafts and galleries of the “Marie Matky” mine were located at the northeastern edge of the Vidochov valley.

The Lázně Church is located in the vicinity of Vidochov. The wider surrounding region contains the Spalona Strażnica ruins and Valdštejn Church.
