Provodov-Šonov: Hotels and Accommodations

Nature

Dubno in Kleny encompasses an alluvial forest, meadows, and the Zlíčský Pond and has been a nature reserve since 1956. Krucza Kopa Mountain is located near Provodov-Šonov. The mountains Lelkowa Góra, Czarna Kopa, and Grodziec are located in the wider regional surroundings of Provodov-Šonov.

Cycling

The Rozkoš Cycle Circuit runs through the districts of Šonov, Provodov, Šeřeč, and Kleny. It is approximately 18.8 km long and takes about 1 hour and 12 minutes without breaks.

The 35 km-long route “In the Footsteps of the Battles of 1866” runs through Václavice, Šonov, Provodov, Kleny, and Dubno. It is signposted with KČT route numbers 4018, 4055, and 4056.

History

Šonov Fortress was probably built before 1564 and demolished at the end of the 18th century.

The Church of Saint Wenceslas in Dobenín was rebuilt in the Early Gothic style; this may correspond to the year 1325 mentioned in written sources. Its structural features show that it could provide protection from an enemy if necessary.

The Protestant church in Šonov was built in 1864. The monument to the VI Army Corps is considered the oldest monument commemorating the War of 1866 and was erected in 1868.
