Vysoká Srbská: Hotels and Accommodation
The Na Větrné horce lookout tower offers sweeping views of the Polish Table Mountains, including Bor and Hejšovina, as well as Ostaš, the Javoří Mountains, the Teplice Rocks, the Giant Mountains and the Orlické Mountains. The tower is 18 metres high, and its viewing platform is located at a height of 15 metres. It is open year-round; admission is free.
Nature
The landscape around Vysoká Srbská includes the Bohadlova lime tree, a protected solitary tree in the cadastral area of Vysoká Srbská within the Broumovsko Protected Landscape Area. It is estimated to be 140 years old and is also 22 metres high.
Culture
The Chapel of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary is a historic monument and a symbol of Vysoká Srbská. It dates from the second half of the 19th century, was extensively reconstructed and ceremonially reconsecrated on 9 October 2010. Its 64-kilogram bronze bell bears the inscription “Svatý Václave, oroduj za nás” and the coat of arms of the municipality of Vysoká Srbská.
A stone cross stands in the centre of Vysoká Srbská. The village’s historic buildings also include timber-framed houses and brick houses from the 19th century. A monument on the main road commemorates the victims of the First World War.
Trails
A red-marked hiking trail leads from Hronov through Vysoká Srbská, continuing via Machov to the Broumov Walls. Cycle Route 4152 runs through Vysoká Srbská between Police nad Metují and Kudowa-Zdrój. The literary hiking trail Stezka psa Voříška, which begins in Zlíčko, is also connected with the village.
Another red-marked hiking trail leads from the bus stop area in Vysoká Srbská to the cemetery, where the Stezka psa Voříška circular route begins. The Tkalcovský stezník runs via Závrchy and Sedmákovice to Vysoká Srbská and continues to Hronov.
Winter
The Hronovská smyčka is a 5.5-kilometre green-marked cross-country skiing trail for the classic technique. It follows the path towards Vysoká Srbská, passes the cemetery and reaches the edge of the forest.
