Getting Around
The marked cycle route No. 222 runs via Dobruška, Opočno, Očelice, Ledce, Třebechovice pod Orebem, Krňovice and Běleč nad Orlicí to Hradec Králové; its length is approximately 30 km. Route 4350 begins in Očelice and runs via Přepychy, Záhornice, Zádolí, Trnov and Podbřezí to Lhota Netřeba; it is approximately 14 km long. Route 4167 runs from Vysoký Újezd via Městec nad Dědinou, Očelice, Bolehošť, Křivice and Lično to Třebešov and is approximately 22 km long.
The single-track, non-electrified railway line No. 026 also runs through the Očelice area, from Týniště nad Orlicí via Opočno, Václavice and Teplice nad Metují to Broumov. It is classified as a nationwide railway line. As part of the IREDO regional transport system, there are two bus stops in the municipality: Očelice and Očelice, Městec nad Dědinou.
Nature
The Strýc landscape feature, a mountain, is located near Očelice. The nearby area also includes the landscape features Na Kuchyňském [Přepychy u Opočna], a hill; Humbule [Očelice-Městec nad Dědinou], a hill; and Měle [Mokré], a hill.
Culture
The Chapel of St. Peter and Paul in Očelice was built in 1872 at the expense of local residents and has an Ave Maria bell. The Calvary group in front of the Chapel of St. Peter and Paul in Očelice dates from 1873.
History
Očelice Fortress presumably fell during the Hussite campaign against the monastery in 1420.
