Lanzov: Hotels and Accommodation

Lanžov combines a protected church district with architectural heritage from several centuries and routes through the landscape. The protected area of the Church of Saint Bartholomew in Lanžov includes an ossuary, an enclosing wall, and two masonry gates.

Culture and History

The Church of Saint Bartholomew in Lanžov preserves a moulded portal from the original Romanesque church, which was built around 1230. Its complex also includes a five-sided chapel of Saint Apolena dating from 1804. The church also contains a tin baptismal font from 1555. The cemetery gate bears reliefs of Štefanik, Rašín, and Švehla; immediately beside the church stands a column-shaped wayside cross dating from 1684.

Červený Dvůr was built next to the former Červené Poličany fortress and is the only partially preserved manor farm in the municipality of Lanžov.

The cemetery chapel was built by the Czeczinkar family from Birnice, the owners of the estate and chateau in nearby Bílé Poličany. The cemetery chapel and the entrance gate in Lanžov were listed as protected monuments in 1992. The property with the cemetery chapel in Lanžov is privately owned.

Water and Cycling Routes

Lanžov outdoor swimming pool has a large 50-metre pool divided into areas of different depths, as well as a smaller pool with a depth of approximately 50 cm.

From Kemp Lanžov, cyclists can access one of the cycling routes directly and ride either into the hilly Podzvičinsko landscape or the flat Polabí landscape.

A Route through Several Places

The Velichovky–Vilantice–Chotěborky–Sedlec–Miřejov–Lanžov–Dubenec route is 13 km long and leads from the spa resorts in Velichovky to the pillory in Lanžov.
