Culture and History

The archaeological site of the Malhotice fortress is classified as UAN I and designated as a significant archaeological location. The fortress is first mentioned in 1391 and last mentioned in 1492, and it probably predated the nearby château, which was created by remodeling it. Baron Vilém Bojakovský had the château in Malhotice remodeled in the Empire style at the beginning of the 19th century. The former château in Malhotice underwent extensive reconstruction in 2008; the façade, windows, and interiors were renovated.

The statue of Saint John of Nepomuk in Malhotice is a Baroque work dating from 1816. The Church of the Immaculate Conception of the Virgin Mary in Malhotice is listed as a Secessionist building from the beginning of the 20th century under registration number ÚSKP 50629/9-67.

Nature

You should register in advance by telephone or email to visit Arasféra. During a guided tour, you can feed tame birds under the supervision of a breeder or go directly into the aviary. Various parrot species from many countries are exhibited at Arasféra in Malhotice.

Cycling

Cycle route 5252 runs through the avenue by the Chapel of Our Lady před Malhoticemi. In front of the chapel there is an old memorial stone set into the ground. Behind the chapel, there is a covered tourist rest area by the road. Through the grille at the entrance to the Chapel of Our Lady před Malhoticemi, you can easily look inside.
