From Ústupky, a blue-marked hiking trail leads towards Oheb Castle Ruins; at the same time, it is marked as the Vlastivědná stezka Krajem Chrudimky. Thus, the route to the ruins features both a regional route name and clearly recognisable trail markings.
The hike from Ústupky to Oheb Castle Ruins runs mostly along marked trails and involves only small changes in elevation. The hike from Ústupky to Oheb Castle Ruins is considered suitable for children and dogs, but unsuitable for prams. The blue-marked hiking trail follows the reservoir shore back to Ústupky.
