The Venkovská výstavní expozice presents the history of the millers in Bukovina. A mill was built in the area of today’s municipality of Bukovina as early as during the Hussite Wars; today, the mill serves the municipality as a multifunctional center.

Culture and History

The entrance to the Venkovská výstavní expozice is located on the pond embankment. The exhibition is open on Saturdays and Sundays from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. from April to September; weekday visits for school or other groups are possible by prior arrangement.

Since 1975, Bukovina has hosted the “Sjezdy rodáků a přátel obce Bukoviny.” Another documented local installation is the “cesta vody” Geoexpozice, which was installed in Bukovina u Přelouče in autumn 2018. It describes the path of water; at the Geoexpozice, visitors can use water from a nearby pond to try out how the water cycle works.
