Dubany: Hotels and Accommodation

In the centre of Dubany, the sandstone cross dating from 1829 stands in the shade of large trees. The townscape also includes several monuments and a historic fire station.

Culture

The smaller monument to those who fell in the First World War is carved from sandstone and bears a granite plaque with the names of the victims. The monument to those who fell in the Second World War was erected in 1946 by local residents.

The historic fire station dates from the late 19th century and is also located in the centre of Dubany. Its roof structure includes a small bell tower; the original bell inside is still in use.

Nature

The Dubanka stream flows through Dubany and rises at the foot of the Železné hory mountains. The landscaping around the village green and the Dubanka includes a freedom lime tree planted around 1918.

Above Dubanský mlýn lies a pond used for fish farming and managed by the fishermen of the municipality of Dubany.

Tradition

The traditional Posvícení programme in Dubany included a guided walk through the village in 2018.
