Culture

Svinčany is home to the late Baroque Church of St. Lawrence, built between 1764 and 1768. Tombstones of the Gerštorf knights were built into its exterior and interior walls; it is also richly decorated with frescoes by Josef Kramolín.

To the east of the church stands a statue of the Virgin Mary created in 1864 by Ferdinand Kofránek of Hořice. A monument to those who fell in the World War was erected on the village square in Svinčany in 1924; a statue of J. A. Comenius stands on its front.

Landscape

The Barborka lookout tower is located on cycle route 4128 in Horní Raškovice, a part of Svinčany. In good visibility, it offers views of the Železné hory, the Orlické hory, the Giant Mountains and the Polabí region. It can be reached on foot and by bicycle.

The Krkanka and Bučina mountains are located in the vicinity of Svinčany. Nearby are Janský kopec hill [Svinčany] and (Na Hranicích) hill [Jeníkovice u Choltic].
