Culture and history
The parish Church of St. James the Elder in Drahoňův Újezd is registered as an immovable cultural monument. The local church is already mentioned as a parish church in 1350. It preserves a Gothic presbytery from the previous building; the nave and tower date from 1764.
Another important historical site is the vanished settlement of Rovný, which is considered one of the best-preserved settlement complexes from the late Middle Ages and the early modern period. Rovný consisted of eight farmsteads, whose medieval and early modern parts are still clearly recognizable in the terrain. The Rovný castle site is designated in Drahoňův Újezd as a currently protected archaeological feature.
Local monuments include the agricultural farm complexes No. 3, with a residential house and barn, and No. 6, with a residential house, granary, and stables. The named Křtitelna Memorial Spring lies in the valley opposite Matčina hora and is decorated with a Gothic cross. Rudův mlýn has origins dating back to the beginning of the 17th century.
