Přehýsov was first mentioned in a document from 1248. After the mid-14th century, the village was owned by Chotěšov Monastery.
History and Architectural Heritage
The Chapel of the Visitation of the Virgin Mary was built in 1893. It is a single-nave building with a five-sided presbytery and a tower on the façade. Some of the presbytery windows contain preserved colorful, mosaic-like stained-glass decorations. The chapel also has its original altar with an image of the Virgin Mary.
Several factory buildings dating from after 1900 have been preserved in Přehýsov. Numerous predominantly late-Classical farmsteads, often with vaulted gateways, line the edge of the unusually large built-up village green. The village landscape also includes ramparts protecting ammunition depots.
Nature
At Přehýsovský rybník, a beaver built its first dam on a tributary, thereby flooding adjacent properties.

The official V OBRAZE mobile application for Přehýsov is intended for residents and visitors and provides timely information about local events. An official family cycling trip led through the area around Zbůch along a 9.1 km route and included a visit to Chotěšov Monastery.
