Němčovice: Hotels and accommodations

Němčovice is located in the Horní Berounka Nature Park, in an area bordering the Křivoklátsko Protected Landscape Area and the northern edge of the Brdy Mountains.

Landscape and nature

The Olešenský stream is a small right-bank tributary of the Berounka River in the Horní Berounka Nature Park. Downstream from the village of Olešná, it forms a wooded valley up to 60 metres deep. The area around the Olešenský stream is home to, among other species, fire salamanders, yellow-bellied toads, slow worms and eagle owls. The Údolí mloků educational trail can be cycled.

Culture and history

The unusual Pařezová chaloupka bus stop is located on Road II/232, a Class II road between Rokycany and Kralovice, and was inspired by the 1968 animated series Pohádky z mechu a kapradí. It was ceremonially opened on 2 June 2019; the Němčovice, Pařezová bus stop was entered into the Czech Database of Records on 22 January 2024.

Hradiště Radná has a total fortified area of 4.5 hectares and includes several ramparts as well as an outer bailey. The column with the Ecce Homo statue dates from 1722 and depicts the biblical Ecce Homo motif. The restored original of the Ecce Homo statue is kept in a chapel that is open to the public during the summer tourist season. The Church of Svatý Martin is located in the vicinity of Němčovice.
