Nezamyslice: Hotels and Accommodation
On a hill at the northwestern edge of Nezamyslice stands the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary. It is part of a protected heritage complex.
Culture
A new church was built on the site of an older sanctuary in Nezamyslice in the Klatovy District during the first half of the 14th century. Around 1515, its nave was converted into a three-aisled hall with tierceron vaults.
West of the church, outside the cemetery, stands the Chapel of St Erasmus, founded in the first half of the 17th century. In 1860, it was repaired and converted into the family crypt of the Lamberg family. The chapel houses a unique collection of tombstones belonging to the Lamberg family, most of which date from the 16th century.
A visit to the church grounds also includes the small Museum of Nezamyslice Churches. It was established in the former mortuary on the grounds of the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary and the Chapel of St Erasmus. The museum is a small exhibition with information panels and several exhibits from the churches' collections.
The former school building at the church cemetery was attended by the writer Karel Klostermann from 1854 to 1855. A statue of Saint John of Nepomuk stands at an intersection in the eastern part of Nezamyslice. The war memorial in Nezamyslice lists the names of fallen soldiers. The Chapel of the Virgin Mary is a chapel built into a wall, whose origin is estimated to date to the 19th century.
