Sveradice: Hotels and accommodations

The Chapel of Saint Bartholomew was founded on Kostelík Hill in the second half of the 16th century.

Culture

In 1843, the Chapel of Saint Bartholomew was expanded into its present form. The Baroque altar with a painting of Saint Bartholomew dates from the early 17th century. The Baroque Chapel of Saint Anne was also built in Svéradice in 1834 on the site of a smaller chapel; it was formerly dedicated to Saint Bartholomew.

Svéradice is home to a private agricultural museum. The traditional Bartolomějská pouť pilgrimage festival also returned after a one-year break.

Routes

Two local cycling routes pass through Svéradice. A blue hiking trail also passes through the village, connecting Oselce, Chanovice, and Horažďovice.

Svéradice is the fifth stop on the “In the Footsteps of the Past” route. For cyclists with trekking bikes, the route is classified as easy to moderately challenging. Along the route, Svéradice offers opportunities for meals and refreshments.

Radílec Hill [Chanovice-Dobrotice] is located in the immediate surroundings of Svéradice. Na Soudné Hill [Slatina u Horažďovic] is also nearby. The ruins of the “Radomysl Mediumwave Radio Mast” are likewise located in the surroundings of Svéradice.

The wider regional surroundings of Svéradice include Chlum Mountain and Buzrakov Mountain (Plánický hřeben).
