Nature and Trails
The marked red Křižíkova cesta hiking trail begins in Plánice and leads via Nepomuk to Rokycany. A signposted cycling route also connects the town to a longer trail: “Through the Beautiful Landscape to Plánice” leads from Újezd via cycle route 2082 to Plánice and back to Klatovy via cycle route 2080.
Culture and History
The birthplace of František Křižík houses a museum with a modern exhibition. František Křižík, whose birthplace museum is located in Plánice, was an electrical engineer, inventor, and entrepreneur.
The Church of St Blaise was built according to designs by Kilián Ignác Diezenhofer. In the Baroque Church of St Blaise, the main altar painting is changed several times a year. With its wide entrance staircase, the church is a distinctive landmark of Plánice.
Plánice Square is home to the Holy Trinity Column, an example of regional Baroque stonecutting and sculpture from the early 18th century. In nearby Nicov, 2 km from Plánice, stands the pilgrimage Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary, a Baroque work by Kilián Ignác Dientzenhofer.
Sports and Information
The Plánice sports complex has three multifunctional courts with synthetic surfaces and lighting for ball sports. The sports complex is accessible every day year-round during operating hours. The Plánice Information Centre distributes promotional materials and sells souvenirs.
