Culture and History

The Chapel of St. Vojtěch in Třebnuška is a Baroque masonry pilgrimage chapel built in the first half of the 18th century. It stands alone on a hill approximately 850 meters southwest of Lhotka. It is reportedly located on the site of an older wooden chapel, where a hermit is said to have lived.

The route from Zbiroh to Sládkova lesní studánka is 6.4 kilometers long. Sládkova lesní studánka inspired the poet Josef Václav Sládek to write the poem Lesní studánka. Since its ceremonial unveiling in 2012, a memorial stone has stood at the spring; since 2013, the celebration Otevírání lesní studánky J. V. Sládka has taken place every spring. There are several water mills along the route.

Sýkorův mlýn, also called mlýn U Zikmundů and Podtřebnušský mlýn, is located 1 kilometer east of the chapel in Třebnuška.

Nature

The Třebnuška geological site contains rhyolites with xenoliths from the bedrock. Access to this site is possible only with special permission, as it includes a military area, a quarry, and private land.

Landscape and Surroundings

The area around Třebnuška includes Týřov, a ruin, as well as Holý vrch and Hřeben, both mountains. The Church of U Svatého Petra is located nearby, while Svatý Martin is a church in the area surrounding Třebnuška.

In the wider regional surroundings of Třebnuška are the Zřícenina Valdek ruin and Beran Mountain. Ušák [Zbiroh-Třebnuška] is a hill in the nearby area.
