Tycek: Hotels and Accommodation

Týček is a village with a preserved historic centre and a location on the edge of the Křivoklátsko Protected Landscape Area. History, traditional architectural forms and paths through the landscape are closely intertwined here.

Villagescape and History

Týček was first mentioned in 1336. The historic centre has been preserved, and elements of folk architecture have survived on several buildings.

There is a chapel on the outskirts of Týček. Týček is also home to a regionally atypical two-storey timbered rural building. House No. 28 is a remarkable farmstead with a timbered residential building and directly adjoining farm buildings.

The nearby Zbiroh Château originated from an earlier fortified castle founded at the beginning of the 13th century.

Nature and Landscape

A large part of the Týček municipal area lies within the Křivoklátsko Protected Landscape Area; the village is also located on its southern boundary.

A stream from the western part of Týček flows through the local swimming pool, which serves as a fire-fighting reservoir.

Trails

The municipality recommends tourist trails in the Křivoklátsko Protected Landscape Area. The “Týček March” started at the swimming pool in Týček. The red-marked hiking trail from Točník Castle to Zbiroh is approximately 11 km long.
