Všenice: Hotels and Accommodation

Všenice lies on a gently northward-sloping hillside descending towards the floodplain of the Korečnický Stream. The Korečnický Stream is a right-bank tributary of the Berounka. To the north, the inhabited area transitions into the natural floodplain areas that form Všenice’s natural landscape setting.

Nature

Všenice lies within the Berounka Nature Park. The nature park protects the preserved landscape character of the incised Berounka Valley and its tributaries, the rock outcrops, the adjacent forest complexes and agricultural landscapes, as well as the cultural landscape landmarks and historically valuable settlement architecture.

Všenice is a suitable starting point for hiking routes along the Korečnický Stream to the Berounka.

History

Pyrite shale was mined in V Potocích until 1880. The foundations of the former Berk excursion inn are still visible beside the stream. The shafts of the former mine extended beneath Lavičky and Kašákův lesík; today, they have been filled in.

Culture

On 16 August 2015, the chapel in Všenice was reconsecrated and dedicated to Saint Francis of Assisi. During this reconsecration, the chapel was given back its bell, which had been donated by Jiří Šimek.

The park areas on Všenice village square, with a memorial to citizens who fell in the World War, are considered locally significant assets. Individual buildings of rural architecture are also included. Historically valuable features of a smithy dating from the 15th century are likewise considered locally significant assets in Všenice.

Všenice railway station is located on railway line 176, Plzeň–Radnice.
