Volduchy: Hotels and Accommodation

Volduchy combines a striking cultural monument with traces of history, the protected Kašparův vrch area and remarkable geological finds. In the eastern part of the village, the Church of St. Bartholomew stands on the road to Nesvačily and Liteň. Beside its presbytery is the “Piety” ensemble, whose inscription bears the year 1729.

Culture and History

The Church of St. Bartholomew has Gothic origins dating from the late 14th century. After the fire of 1817, it acquired its late Baroque appearance during restoration in 1822. St. Bartholomew’s Church and the “Piety” ensemble are designated cultural monuments of the Czech Republic.

The cultural programme is also part of the village’s character: Kultura Volduchy organises concerts and theatre performances in an intimate setting.

Nature and Earth History

Kašparův vrch lies southwest of Volduchy. The area was first placed under protection on 5 September 1989. Siliceous spherical concretions, known as “rokycanské kuličky”, are common in the Vosek area, along with numerous well-preserved fossils, including trilobites, molluscs, echinoderms and brachiopods.

Events

The Voldušská pilgrimage takes place in the centre of Volduchy from 9:00 a.m. on 29 August 2026 until 11:59 p.m. on 30 August 2026. The traditional Hřebenářská pilgrimage also takes place in Volduchy.
