Pavlov: Hotels and Accommodations
The Archeopark Pavlov makes one of the world’s most significant prehistoric sites of mammoth hunters accessible to the public. Its exhibition presents the settlement of the region 25,000–30,000 years ago, as well as the material culture of hunter-gatherers, including numerous examples of highly developed art, rituals, and burial practices.

Archaeology and Townscape
The architectural ensemble of Pavlov was designated a state monument reserve in 1995. The historic townscape also includes nineteen listed wine-cellar houses dating from the 17th century.
Paths Through Nature and History
The Děvín educational trail runs through the Děvín National Nature Reserve and has an entrance in Pavlov. It is 10.8 km long and has 15 stations covering vegetation, scree fields, water management and agriculture, the geology of the Pálava, the history and settlement of Děvičky Castle, as well as forestry and hunting.
The Dolní Věstonice–Pavlov Archaeological Trail is a 4.1 km-long route between Pavlov and Dolní Věstonice. It takes visitors to five of the most significant archaeological sites of mammoth hunters and connects two branches of the Regional Museum in Mikulov: the Archeopark Pavlov and Dům přírody Pálavy in Dolní Věstonice.
Landscape
At 554.5 m, Děvín is the highest and most imposing mountain in the Pálava; on clear days, the view extends to the Alpine peaks and the elongated outline of the Little Carpathians in Slovakia.
The Gothic ruins of Děvičky Castle, also known as Dívčí Hrady, Maidberg, or Maidenburg, form a striking feature on the northern edge of the ridge of the Děvín massif. Parts of its walls, towers, and palace rooms have been preserved. A walk through the ruins offers panoramic views of the Pálava and the surrounding landscape.
Wine
The 28 km-long Mikulov wine trail can be completed on foot, by bicycle, or by car.
