Rojetín: Hotels and Accommodation
Rojetín lies at an altitude of 476 metres above sea level in a small valley through which a stream flows. In the vicinity of the village, this landscape forms part of the Rojetínský hadec protected area: the 2.2277-hectare European Site of Community Importance protects a locality of false spleenwort there. In terms of the occurrence of this plant, Rojetínský hadec is considered the most important locality in South Moravia and features relict pine forests.
Landscape and Nature
Víckov, a mountain, lies in the immediate vicinity of Rojetín. The mountains of Duforty, Koní hora and Ambrožný are also located in the vicinity of the village.
Culture and History
Rojetín is the birthplace of the composer Rudolf Kvasnica, who was born there on 9 September 1895. The village coat of arms commemorates the local Chapel of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary. A pilgrimage takes place at this chapel on the first Saturday in September. Historically, Rojetín belonged to the Osové estate from 1617 onwards.
A presumed former fortification site has been preserved in the former estate forest “Na Stráni” on the right bank of the Libochůvka; locally, it is called “Na Hrádku”. Embankments, a ditch and low wall remains are visible there. In Rojetín, Martina Fialová runs the ART GALERIE MF, which she manages herself.
