Bystřany: Hotels and accommodations

Bystřany lies on the Sviní stream, 2 km southeast of Teplice. The town's development only began in the second half of the 19th century. As a result of the expansion of industrial production, Bystřany became an industrial municipality.

History and Townscape

The Teplice–Lovosice railway line runs through Bystřany and was built between 1897 and 1900. The town's industrial character is also reflected in the main building of the ETY Bystřany factory complex, which is an architecturally significant building in Bystřany.

The Protestant church in old Bystřany dates from the end of the 19th century. Bystřany is also home to the three-span stone Mostek Bridge, which spans the Bílina. It is a technical monument from the second half of the 18th century in the Baroque style.

Culture

A rotunda in the Bystřany cemetery houses the tomb of French soldiers. Memorial plaques bear the names of 22 soldiers. František Cajthaml was a journalist, the second editor-in-chief of the magazine “Severočeský dělník,” and the author of publications on local history.

Equestrian Sports and Cycling Route

The local horse-breeding operation officially became the JK Bystřany equestrian club in 2004, a riding club registered with the Czech Equestrian Federation. JK Bystřany has a 20 × 40 metre sand riding arena and four spacious paddocks.

Cycling route No. 3071 runs through Trmice, Řehlovice, Bystřany and Teplice.

The ruins of Kysperk Castle and Sukoslav, Střekov Castle, Osek Monastery, and Kloc and Glaberův vrch mountains are located in the vicinity of Bystřany.

In the wider regional surroundings of Bystřany are Milešovka mountain and the Wildpark Osterzgebirge zoo.
