Hřivice: Hotels and Accommodations
Hřivice lies on the edge of the Džbán Nature Park. Directly above the village is the Na Šancích hillfort, situated on the summit of Okrouhlík at an elevation of 440 metres above sea level.
Culture and History
The surviving remains of the Na Šancích hillfort include a rampart approximately three metres high and a ditch. Studánka Bělka lies on the slope below the intersection of the green- and blue-marked hiking trails. It already served as a water source when the nearby hillfort was inhabited.
Natural Environment
The Kozinecká stráň Nature Monument is the only state-protected natural area that extends into the cadastral territory of Hřivice. Its conservation objectives include fragments of a thermophilous oak forest with numerous important protected plant species, as well as a rich population of white dittany.
The Hasina stream flows through the Hřivice valley; it was formerly also known as Hřivický potok.
Trails and Landscape Experiences
Two marked hiking trails pass through Hřivice. From Hřivice, Hřivická Studánka in Vinice can be reached via a green-marked hiking trail followed by a short side trail.
The U Petra a Pavla educational trail explains the functions of the forest. From spring to autumn, many cyclists pass through Hřivice.
