History

The first record of Zbrašín dates back to 1358; at that time, the Vladyka Chotěbor Bažant ze Zbrašína lived there. The former Zbrašín fortress has not survived to this day.

Events

The Zbrašínská pouť is traditionally held at the summer sports field in Zbrašín. The program of the 2025 Zbrašínská pouť included an evening event with music and socializing on Saturday, July 19, from 8 p.m., as well as an afternoon with additional attractions and entertainment for the whole family on Sunday, July 20, from 2 p.m.

Nature and Trails

The Louny–Jimlín–Pravda hiking route leads from Louny along a red-marked trail to the Zbrašín waterworks and then continues along a blue-marked trail to the junction below Pravda. The Zřícenina Pravda ruins are located in the vicinity of Zbrašín.

The Džbán, Raná, Oblík, and Srdov mountains are located around Zbrašín. The wider regional surroundings of Zbrašín also include the Hazmburk ruins, the Hrádek ruins, and the Hradek Oltářík ruins.

Cycling

The Džbánsko cycling route follows Cycle Route 304 through Zbrašín. It runs mostly along paved farm roads to avoid road traffic. The route often follows ridgelines offering views of the Central Bohemian Uplands and the Džbán Mountains; it also crosses the watershed of the Vltava, Berounka, and Ohře rivers.

Džbán, located in the wider regional surroundings of Zbrašín, has been a nature park since 1994.
