The Chapel of the 14 Holy Helpers is a historic landmark of Mradice. It was restored and consecrated in 2001.

Culture and History

About 500 metres west of the settlement of Mradice, outside the built-up area, is the permanent light fortification SLO VEČ 10074 of type A-120Z. It is located on plot no. st.p.č. 137, covering 102 m², on the bank of the Ohře by the road between Mradice and Strkovice.

When leaving from the east via the hairpin bend, the tower of Mradice Chateau is visible. The ruins of Pravda Castle are located in the area south of Mradice. Further in the surrounding region, northeast of Mradice, are the ruins of Hrádek, Hradek Oltářík and Hazmburk.

Riverside Landscape

The Ohře separates Mradice from Levonice. The Mradice Mill stands on its bank in the cadastral area of Mradice. No flour is currently milled there; a small hydroelectric power station is in operation.

The mountains Raná, Oblík, Srdov and Brník are located in the area northeast of Mradice.

Routes and Transport Links

The fourth stage of the Ohře Cycle Route passes through Mradice at kilometre 45.9. On the relevant section near the fortifications by Mradice, the “Mariánské stezky” tourist route and Cycle Route 6 run.

Mradice can be reached from Postoloprty via Roads 2501 and 225038 through Skupice; the distance is approximately 6 km. Mradice is located near the important II/225 road connecting Žatec and Louny.
