Teplitz-Schönau: Hotels and accommodations

Teplitz-Schönau is considered the oldest spa town in the Czech Republic and probably also in Central Europe. Sights and experiences in Teplice include the Thermalium: Its thermal baths are filled 100 % with the thermal water of the Pravřídlo Teplice spring.

The Thermalium includes a 35 °C therapeutic main pool, a 29 °C thermal swimming pool, and a Kneipp pool with water at 40 °C and 10 °C, respectively.

The facilities also include a Finnish sauna, Finnish salt sauna, tropical sauna, bio sauna, and steam bath.

Nature

The Botanická zahrada Teplice features a large tropical greenhouse with tropical trees, orchids, lianas, and other exotic plants. It also hosts seasonal exhibitions, concerts, guided tours, and themed events.

The Zámecká zahrada is suitable for jogging and inline skating and offers opportunities for walks in nature.

Culture and science

The Regional Museum in Teplice specializes in the archaeology, history, and nature of northwestern Bohemia.

The observatory on Písečný vrch is regularly open to the public. During the day, it offers solar observations; in the evening, observations of the Moon, planets, star clusters, nebulae, and galaxies. Its domes also host popular science programs and interactive exhibitions.

Exploring the city

The Humboldt tourist train offers a guided tour through the historic center of Teplice. The route leads across Zámecké náměstí, through Zámecká zahrada and Šanovský park, to Botanická zahrada Teplice.
