Hrutov: Hotels and accommodations

Hrutov is home to the Chapel of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary. It was built in 1866; pilgrimages to this chapel have a long-standing and rich tradition.

Nature and landscape

Forests in the vicinity of Bukovec Hill surround the eastern boundary of the Hrutov municipal area. The pond ecosystems Nový and Obůrka are located in the eastern part of the Hrutov municipal area; the pond ecosystems Nový and Obůrka southeast of Hrutov are registered as significant landscape features. At Na podlesích, in the floodplain of the Stráží stream near Hrutov, there is an exceptionally well-preserved peat meadow covering approximately 2 hectares. In addition, Na podlesích is home to a natural wet meadow habitat with occurrences of rare plant species.

Townscape and settlement structure

Hrutov’s original settlement structure is well preserved. Hrutov was laid out as a linear village with a village green and strip fields. The densely built-up village green of Hrutov contains individual rural buildings with one storey and gabled roofs.

Hiking trail and road connection

A green-marked hiking trail from Krahulov to Kamenice runs through the cadastral area of Hrutov. Class III road No. 4029 also runs through Hrutov. In Brodce, it joins road No. 4026, which connects Opatov and Kněžice.
