Zbinohy: Hotels and Accommodation

Zbinohy combines the Zbinožský rybník pond with an unusually designed village-square chapel and other historical landmarks.

Nature

The Zbinožský rybník pond is located in the cadastral area of Zbinohy and is legally classified as a significant landscape feature. At the Zbinožský rybník pond, 24 specially protected bird species and 32 bird species from the Red List of the Czech Republic have been recorded.

Hiking

On June 11, 2025, a hiking route approximately 9–10 km long led from Kamenice to Větrný Jeníkov through Zbinohy. During this hike, the route ran predominantly along paths; sturdy footwear was recommended.

Culture and History

The village-square chapel in Zbinohy is a state-protected chapel from the 19th century and has been under state heritage protection since 1958. It has an unusual circular floor plan and a polygonal tent roof with a lantern.

A cast-iron cross on a tall granite pedestal dating from 1867 stands in the village square. The Baroque wayside shrine from 1760 in Zbinohy is freely accessible.

The Zbinožský mlýn mill has been documented in church records since the mid-18th century. Northwest of Zbinohy, below the dam of the Zbinožský rybník pond, stand the buildings of the former Zbinožský mlýn mill and sawmill.
