Nature
The Chmelinec Nature Monument covers 2.8 hectares and consists of wet meadows in the valley of the Drietomica stream on the northeastern edge of Vyškovec. The stream valley there comprises wetlands with abundant populations of broad-leaved marsh orchids (Dactylorhiza majalis); grazed vegetation of the Carpathian pastures of the Anthoxantho-Agrostietum association grows along the edges. Pod Hribovňou preserves remnants of White Carpathian pastures with rare plant species, including one of the last populations of yellow gentian.
The Ve Vlčí Nature Reserve lies south of Vyškovec and covers 21.68 hectares. Ve Vlčí is also a species-rich area with dry, sun-exposed pastures, wetter hollows, shaded areas, and numerous orchid species. Štefková is an overgrown pasture near Vyškovec and is considered an interesting area for botanists. The landscape of Moravské Kopanice near Vyškovec comprises small fields, hedgerows, and orchards. There is also a mineral spring in the cadastral area of Vyškovec.
The mountains Kykula, Mikulčin vrch, Vysoký vrch, and Nad Barinou are located in the immediate vicinity of Vyškovec. In the wider region are the U Kapliček church and the ruins of Starý Světlov, Hrad Čachtice, and Zřícenina Tematín.
Culture
The mountain chapel of Panny Marie Královny is the only sanctuary in the White Carpathians built on a mountain ridge. In honor of Panny Marie Královny, Mass is celebrated in Vyškovec on the Sunday afternoon closest to August 22. The monument to the American airmen is a pilgrimage site in Vyškovec and a frequent destination for tourists.
The musical bell tower of Vyškovec starts playing automatically when a visitor arrives. The Statek Ve Vlčí č.p. 40 farmstead was declared a cultural monument on May 3, 1958. It is a complex of vernacular architecture consisting of a stable, cellar, and dwelling house; the complex was built in the 1880s. Classic Kopaničář embroidery can be seen behind glass doors in Vyškovec.
Things to do
JK ACD Vyškovec offers riding lessons and riding courses in Vyškovec. These also include rides in the surrounding area. In the basic riding training at JK ACD Vyškovec, riders learn how to care for horses and how to ride at a walk, trot, and canter.
The 13-kilometre southern section of the Naučná stezka Okolo Hrozenka educational trail runs from Starý Hrozenkov via Vyškovec and Vápenice back to Starý Hrozenkov and includes seven stops. The Naučná stezka Okolo Hrozenka educational trail is 18 kilometres long, has 12 stops, and is suitable for hiking and mountain biking. The Krajem Žítkovských bohyní cycling circuit passes through Vyškovec and uses signed cycle route 46, the NS Moravské Kopanice trail, and the Stezka Českem long-distance hiking trail.
