Culture

The Church of St. Joseph stands in Halenkovice. It was built in 1789 and consecrated on 29 March 1789 by Jan Papež, the dean of Napajedla. It continues to serve as a place for ceremonial events, regular parish meetings and personal prayer. The building is therefore connected not only with a clearly dated period of its history, but also with an ongoing religious use.

The Chapel of Our Lady of the Seven Sorrows is located at the Bell Tower on the Hill. According to the inscription above the entrance, it dates from 1755. Two bells hang in the bell tower, including the older Tomáš bell. Another chapel stands in Hradská. It was built in 1890, and its white façade is visible from far away.

Spáčilova chaloupka is also located in Hradská. A memorial plaque commemorates the writer Jindřich Spáčil’s close connection with this region. These places thus lead from the architectural history of religious buildings and spaces still in use today to a personal literary remembrance.

Nature

The landscape around Halenkovice includes Budačina, a group of sandstone rocks. It includes a cave that is approximately 5 m long, 3 m high and about 1.5 m wide. A mountain bike route follows a blue-marked trail to the Budačina rock formation.
