Between Ardanovce and Šalgovce, a prehistoric settlement with pottery fragments has been documented on the left terrace of a stream. Its finds include stone tools and traces of structures. The settlement dates from the Neolithic and Eneolithic periods.

A later testimony is the Roman Catholic Church of Saint Michael in Ardanovce. It is an important late Gothic architectural monument dating from 1503. The church also preserves a stone holy water font from the 15th century with maskaron decoration. Next to the church stands the rectory, built in 1787 and remodelled in the Classical style in 1804.
